Ash brings a wealth of experience and an outstanding coaching pedigree, backed by elite qualifications and a long list of accolades. His rise from local courts to the national coaching stage reflects a career built on passion, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to athlete development.

With multiple VNL Premierships under his belt and success as Head Coach of Victoria’s U17 State Team, Ash has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead high-performing teams and nurture emerging talent.

As a player, Ash has proudly represented both Victoria and Australia in Men’s Championship Netball, earning numerous individual and team honors throughout his journey.

Driven by a pursuit of excellence, Ash is dedicated to evolving his coaching craft and deepening his netball knowledge. His innovative, player-focused approach creates a dynamic and challenging environment where athletes can thrive. His passion for grassroots development and community sport makes him an invaluable asset to our club.

Caitlin is no stranger to our netball community — she’s been involved as a coach, player, umpire, and proud parent to some of our junior talent!
Her journey with the Lakers began in the Under 16s, and since then she’s played over 100 games for the club. Caitlin’s coaching resume includes leading teams to grand finals, and she capped off a stellar 2025 season as a joint winner of the Club Best and Fairest — a testament to her consistency, leadership, and passion for the game. We’re looking forward to seeing what Caitlin and our C Grade team will accomplish together in 2026!

We’re also excited to announce Caitlin Ferguson as our U11's Netball Coach for our upcoming season! Cait will bring great energy, experience, and a genuine passion for developing young talent. With a strong background in netball and a commitment to nurturing confidence and skills in our juniors, we know our players are in fantastic hands.

With an enormous amount of netball experience between them – over 350 Lakers games, multiple premierships as both players and coaches across senior and junior levels, and several Club Best & Fairest awards, the future is bright for our next generation of young Lakers under their leadership.
Familiar and much-respected figures in our coaching ranks, Katie and Sarsha have become integral to both our junior and senior programs. Katie & Sarsha’s knowledge of the game and connections with our junior players is unrivalled. We believe our 17s and 15s couldn’t be in better hands!
With their passion, expertise, and knowledge, we can’t wait to see what’s ahead for our 17 & Under and 15 & Under in 2026 under their guidance!

Bec is a versatile netballer herself with a strong understanding of both attack and defence. Her ability to read the play, combined with her positivity and clear guidance, will be a huge asset to our Under 13s this season. Bec has a strong interest in developing junior players and has a great track record of coaching / team manager success, Bec is looking forward to working alongside Dakota in the 2026 season — and she can’t wait to get started!

With 8 years of netball coaching experience, Dakota has had the privilege of guiding multiple teams to finals and seeing players grow both on and off the court. Coaching juniors has always been a passion of Dakota’s — She enjoys helping young netballers build their confidence, skills, and love for the game. Dakota is excited to be joining a new club and is looking forward to meeting both familiar faces and new ones in the upcoming season!
